And as a mother of two beautiful daughters, I can't help but compare the journey of designing a collection to raising siblings who share a bond but are also so wonderfully unique. Just like siblings, each pattern in a collection works together to create a harmonious family, but with its own quirks and character. It’s fascinating to see how even though they carry the same genetic “traits” from their “parents” (the Hero Patterns), they develop their own distinct personalities. Each pattern draws from the hero patterns, carrying over key elements—like color combinations, shapes, and subtle features—but reinterprets them in new ways. It’s like how my daughters, despite being raised the same, have their own strengths and areas where they complement each other perfectly. And that’s what makes a pattern collection special—each piece is unique but still feels part of the larger family.
