A Year-End Note to the Pika Tribe
As the year comes to an end, we are given the rare gift of slowing down and reflecting. A season where time feels different : time to laugh, time to rest, time to receive, and time to give. Time to grieve past losses, to look forward to new adventures, to hold onto certain dreams, and gently let go of others.
It’s remarkable how life’s challenges shape us. None of us can predict what lies ahead or what the new year will bring. All we can do is take a humble step of faith, prayerfully hoping to experience peace and joy in the work we are called to do. Using the gifts and talents we’ve been given to create something meaningful and, where possible, to pay it forward.
This reflection also comes with deep gratitude. Gratitude for being able to continue running my small business, and for doing so alongside my husband, who supports me by managing finances, tracking stock, and keeping the practical side of Pika Pattern running smoothly behind the scenes. I am also deeply thankful for family members who support me on so many levels .. always encouraging me to keep moving forward, even during challenging seasons.
I am thankful for every customer who returns for another tea towel or scatter cushion, and for seeing Pikapattern products gifted and shared during the festive season .. reaching homes as far as Sweden and Australia, and who knows where else. These moments never lose their wonder.
As we enter the festive season, may we all return to thankfulness. May we find contentment in the season of life we are in, while continuing to share our stories, encourage one another, and build meaningful connections through spaces like the Pika Tribe.
Wishing you a blessed and merry Christmas, and may 2026 be filled with many beautiful moments to share.
With gratitude,
Elbé
